This blog is written by Liza E. Burke. I am a licensed Washington State attorney in private practice handling serious juvenile law and juvenile criminal cases. I am based out of Seattle and handle cases in King County Juvenile Court and other Washington counties.

My career started with four total immersion years in King County Juvenile Court where I handled hundreds of misdemeanor, serious felony and juvenile sex offenses. I saw more of juvenile court than I saw the light of day. One can only do that for so long. Since that time I have a more civilized caseload but I have continued to regularly represent children and teenagers in juvenile court, juvenile criminal defense, student discipline and other legal matters in courts and districts throughout Western Washington.

Many lawyers may be dismissive of juvenile court but the fact is that a bad outcome in juvenile court can be life altering. The basis for a good outcome starts with knowledge and an interested and passionate attorney.
